A Dutch, EU or International driving license is acceptable unless the driver holds non-EU citizenship and has been resident in the Netherlands for more than 180 days. In this case he must be in possession of a valid Dutch driving license.

To exchange your existing national driving license for a Dutch one, you must fit into one of several categories. If you don’t, you can use your existing license for six months (185 days) after becoming a resident, during which time you need to take the CBR theory and driving tests. 5. Auto Insurance
For your convenience, comprehensive insurance is included in the agreement. The all-risk insurance covers all damage that is made to your vehicle and other parties in traffic. In case of non-refundable damage you’ll have to pay €300,- own risk per damage. A passenger insurance can be added for €2,- per month. Also, maintenance, service, and repairs and a replacement vehicle after 72 hours are included. Tires in case of wear.
6. Car registration and Car Delivery
Your Personal Car Shopper will assist you with car registration.
After the registration has been completed, it is time for car delivery. The expected delivery time is 1-3 weeks for cars in stock and 3-4 months for a custom order. In many cases, you could pick up the car at a local dealership or it may be delivered to your home.
