ExpatRide was founded in 2011 when our founder, Jesper Løvendahl, moved to New York and ran into a common expat challenge: leasing a car without a local credit history. Seeing a real gap in the market, he decided to fix it, creating a hassle-free way for expats to get reliable transportation abroad.
What began as a one-person mission has grown into a global team of 25 professionals across four offices, Miami, Copenhagen, Prague, and Manila, covering three time zones. From our roots in the U.S., we’ve expanded to 197 countries & territories with a trusted network of 200+ suppliers.

At ExpatRide, we believe that caring for people and caring for animals go hand in hand. That is why we are proud to be a founding partner of Proyecto Tiger, the largest non-profit animal welfare organization in Cali, Colombia.
Founded in 2013 by Alexia Paz, Proyecto Tiger cares for the stray and feral cats of Cali. Its dedicated volunteers give these cats veterinary care and help keep their colonies healthy and stable, so fewer kittens are born into a hard life on the streets.
The team goes where few others do, reaching cats that live on rooftops and in abandoned buildings. When cats or kittens are ready for a family, Proyecto Tiger finds them foster homes and loving adopters. Its work has built a community of more than 60,000 followers on Facebook.
Our commitment goes beyond words. ExpatRide supports Proyecto Tiger with travel, equipment, schooling, food and other essentials, so the team can focus on what matters most: giving the cats of Cali a better life.
