A Better Alternative to Flights

During these challenging times, ExpatRide wants to ensure your employees and clients are safe while traveling around the world.

Understandably, assignees are reluctant to get on a crowded airplane. Air travel means spending time in security lines and airport terminals, which can bring them in close contact with other people and frequently touched surfaces. Most viruses and other germs do not spread easily on flights because of how air circulates and is filtered on airplanes. However, social distancing is difficult on crowded flights, and sitting within 6 feet of others, sometimes for hours, may increase the risk of getting COVID-19.

Also consider how assignees get to and from the airport, as public transportation and ridesharing can increase your chances of being exposed to the virus.

For these reasons, we currently see high demand for long-distance city to city rides as a safe & efficient alternative to short-haul flights, trains.

ExpatRide is offering special rates for high demand long-distance routes – Please contact us for pricing.

Examples of distances that can be driven instead of flying:

  • London to Birmingham
  • New York to Philadelphia
  • Los Angeles to San Diego
  • Frankfurt to Stuttgart
  • Shanghai to Changzhou

We have expanded our safety measures even further to protect you and your travelers and ensure the safest possible means of transportation.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, our partners for chauffeur service have implemented several additional safety measures into their daily operations such as monitoring the driver’s temperature twice a day.

In between each ride, chauffeurs thoroughly disinfect vehicles. Chauffeurs have also changed several parts of the typical ride experience. For example, they now wear masks and gloves. They greet guests with a slight bow instead of a handshake.

Chauffeurs provide guests a mask in case guests do not have one, and they offer hand sanitizer. They also removed newspapers and magazines from seatbacks.
