EcoRide - Eco Friendlier Global Mobility

Lower CO2 Impact by International Assignees & Saving Trees

The EcoRide Program

ExpatRide’s initiative to reduce carbon emissions for our clients

The following are all major culprits to global pollution during a move: Moving trucks – Cargo ships – Air travel – Car service

We want to help our clients reduce the climate impact of their car services via three purpose-driven EcoRide initiatives:

  1. Vetting of our Global Supplier Network
  2. Motivating, Assisting, and Pushing greener choices
  3. The “EcoRide Choice” Program

Mandated by the client, EcoRide is designed always to choose the eco-friendlier option on behalf of international assignees worldwide.

The EcoRide Impact

It’s easy to make a difference! Switching just 50 assignees from gasoline to hybrid rental cars on an annual basis makes a significant impact

EcoRide Choice Program

We will assist assignees with driving greener

ExpatRide can lower the client’s CO2 emissions by between 30% (hybrid) and 80% (electric) with eco-friendlier options.

Why EcoRide?

Cars emit carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming and pollution.

Many of our clients and their employees are concerned about the environment and pollution. As a result, they seek ways to lower their CO2 emissions when relocating employees.

Therefore, we have taken the initiative to reduce our services’ carbon footprint while driving demand for greener cars in our suppliers’ fleets Worldwide.

We do this by actively Motivating, Assisting, and Pushing greener transportation options.

Implementing the EcoRide Program

Setting up the program: We work closely with our clients and partners on establishing the EcoRide program for all aspects of greener car transportation. Aligning customary transportation across continents, budgets, allowances, self-pay, approved vehicles, individually tailored solutions, and centralized direct billing arrangement across all services.

Delivering service: We can offer our corporate clients Adhoc service as needed or work closely together to create a global EcoRide Transportation Plan. A plan which will take all needs, variables, budgets, and local requirements/restrictions into consideration. A plan will provide your company with a uniform approach, a One-Point-of-Contact service, and lower your international assignees’ CO2 footprint.

Transportation is the largest source of climate pollution

Air pollution is the largest environmental cause of disease and early death in the world and is associated with more than 5 million global premature deaths every year. *

Currently, the transportation sector is the largest source of climate pollution in the U.S., with vehicles on our roads emitting more than 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide. **

Agriculture: A 2011 National Research Council study found that for every degree Celsius that the planet heats up, crop yields will go down 5 to 15 percent.***

Global warming Causing more frequent and/or intense extreme weather events, including heatwaves, hurricanes, droughts, and floods.****
