  • What are some important restrictions when leasing a car in Italy?

    The traffic law in Italy restricts expats to drive a car with engine stronger than 90hp for the first 12 months that they hold Italian Driver license. We therefore strongly suggest leasing a car that meets those requirements. We offer vehicles within the approved engine size.

  • I'm moving to Italy together with my family. We drive a large SUV in the U.S. Could we lease a similar size vehicle in Italy?

    Please see information about vehicle size restrictions above. Also, please keep in mind that the roads in Italy are generally smaller and more narrow compared to roads in the US.

  • Who is allowed to drive my lease car?

    The user and their family members are allowed to drive the vehicle.

  • What is included in the insurance?

    The insurance consists of the following:
    RCA - Third party liability to the sum of €15Mio, of which 5Mio only for property damages.
    KASKO - Collision damage waiver, covering damages to the body of the car, with an excess/deductible of EUR 1,000
    F+I Theft and fire waiver, covering theft. The deductible is EUR 1,000

  • What documents are required to start a lease?

    Individual Lease:
    • ID document
    o valid passport, and/or ID card
    o driving license
    • Income documents, i.e. last 2 monthly paychecks, and/or tax declaration from previous year;
    • valid credit card of the person that will sign the rental agreement
    o Please note that on such credit card, an amount of € 500,00 will be blocked as caution when lease agreement will be signed and the vehicle is delivered, and will be released once the vehicle will be returned;

  • What is the expected delivery time?

    The expected delivery time is 40-70 days after signed agreement.

  • If my assignment is extended, could I make my lease agreement longer?

    Yes, the agreement can be extended month by month after initial lease contract ends.

  • Can I use my international driver's license to lease a car in Italy?

    Yes, however, please note that you MUST HOLD Italian drivers license within 12 months of arrival in Italy.
